Okay, enough hiking and romance, back to business. Ran the Dipsea all the way to Stinson, noting key split times along the way. Feeling healthy and good. Ran particularly fast the last two and half miles down from Cardiac, but will have to pick it up on the first half to run a “qualifying” time. It is what it is. Not much can be changed in ten days, but I love feeling healthy, and just can’t stress over times.
Took the “Stage” back, the shuttle bus that runs between the beach and Mill Valley. Several other Dipsea runners had the same idea. Two guys sitting in front of me spent the half hour ride dissecting every stretch of the course, and what they expect their times to be. I am not alone! Of the 1500 hundred people who will cross the starting line in two weeks there are at least a few hundred excessively obsessed trail hounds!
