May 16 — Feelin’ tired and sore

Monday morning out and back to Muir Woods.  I’m a bit sore, and my time is disappointing to the key turnaround check point.  How am I going to get faster in four weeks?  I stop to walk a few times on the way back.  Been thinking too much about my disappointing morning run, and the related aches and pains, throughout the day.  Not all of this training is whipped cream with a cherry on top.

Tonite I chilled out, listened to music, and scrolled through the pictures on my phone, most of them taken of the beautiful places I’ve been exercising over the past four months.  GG Bridge bike rides, romping down the Coastal trail, Kirkwood, Alta, the Dipsea steps in the predawn darkness.  That helps.  I’m cheered up as I head off to bed….
