Resilience! A great word, a great virtue, though not always a strong one for me. But I awake resilient, and follow my trainer’s guidance onto my mountain bike, and do a 40 minute, leg-loosening, climb up railroad grade. (Ok, she suggested a shorter, flatter ride, but also says that sometimes you have to color outside the lines). Nice to be thinking ahead to the Double this weekend. Not worried about any particular time. Just want to start logging the miles and the climbs, building in the distances and endurance I’ll need exactly two months from now when I begin that slow steady 1800 foot climb up towards Sacagawea…..
